When Can Scar Therapy Start?

Scar therapy can often begin once the wound has fully closed and healed at approximately 6 weeks after surgery, although this varies depending on the type of surgery and your medical team’s guidance. If you are receiving chemo or radiotherapy you may wish to wait until this treatment has finished and/or discuss when to start scar therapy with your oncology team.

Even if your surgery was months or years ago, treatment can still be beneficial.
